Everyone has to clean their homes at some point. While it may not be a fun task or one most people look forward to, it’s something that has to be done. To help make this process easier and ensure stellar results are achieved every time, consider using some of the professional cleaning tips found here.
The Ceiling Fan
Ceiling fans need to be cleaned, at the very least, once a month (with more often being better). For the most painless way to clean a fan effectively gather supplies first. The things needed include a pillowcase, dusting spray, and a ladder. That’s it.
Spray the interior of the pillowcase with the spray, which will help to clean the blades of the fan and help prevent more dust from accumulating. Climb the ladder and cover the fan blade with the pillowcase. Slide the pillowcase down the blade and all the grime and dirt will come off with it.
Freshen the Mattress
Washing a mattress isn’t possible. However, there are steps that can be used to help it look, smell, and feel fresh. What’s needed includes a vacuum cleaner that has a furniture attachment, essential oil, and baking soda.
Take all the bedding off of the mattress, put baking soda and the essential oil in a container, and mix everything together. Once combined, sprinkle the mixture over the mattress. Let the mixture sit on the mattress for a few hours and then vacuum the lingering baking soda away. This will leave the mattress clean and smelling great.
Steam Clean the Microwave
Cleaning the microwave requires lemon essential oil, a spray bottle, sponge and water. Put the wet sponge in the unit and fill up the bottle with water and a few drops of the essential oil. Spray the unit and close the door. Run the microwave for about two minutes with the sponge inside. Once done, use the sponge to wipe away any lingering grime.
With these cleaning tips, anyone can make short work of chores and housework. Be sure to keep the information here in mind to have a clean and sparkling home.
